Directions

The 2007 Germantown Oktoberfest will take place at Ridge Road Recreation Park, in Germantown, Maryland. The park is located on MD Route 355 (Frederick Road), just a short distance North of where it crosses MD Route 27 (Ridge Road/Father Hurley Boulevard). Please note that on-site parking is limited. Please see "Parking Information" (below) for details about offsite parking.

From I-270: Take the Father Hurley Boulevard exit (16a) and proceed East on Father Hurley Boulevard (Route 27). Get into the Left lane. When you reach Frederick Road (Route 355), turn Left. The park is on the right, approximately 100 feet north of the intersection.

From Damascus: Take Route 27 (Ridge Road) South to Germantown. When you reach Frederick Road (Route 355), turn Right. The park is on the Right, approximately 100 feet from the intersection.

Ride-On: Take the Route 55 or 90 (midday only) bus to Milestone Shopping Center. Use any crosswalk to cross to the East side of Route 355 and walk North. After crossing Ridge Road (Route 27), a foot path will take you through a stand of trees and into the park. (Consult the Ride-On home page for additional information on Ride-On bus routes.)

Metro: Oktoberfest is not directly accessible via Metro. The nearest Metrorail station is the Shady Grove station in Rockville. Please consult the Ride-On web site for information on Ride-On bus service between Rockville and Germantown.

Parking Information

Parking at Ridge Road Recreation Park is very limited. We encourage you to take advantage of the FREE parking available at Smiths Aerospace, just off Seneca Meadow Parkway, courtesy of Minkoff Development Corporation. Free shuttle service is provided between the park and the offsite parking location.

Offsite parking: From Rte. 355 (Frederick Rd.); turn west onto Father Hurley Blvd. (becomes Rte 27 north to Damascus in other direction); Turn left onto Observation Drive (just past Milestone Shopping Center); turn right on Seneca Meadows Parkway; turn left into the first parking lot.
