Germantown Oktoberfest: Sponsorships Now Available
GERMANTOWN, Maryland -- May 11, 2006 -- The 24th Germantown Oktoberfest, a family-oriented festival held each fall to benefit local organizations, is now accepting applications for official sponsors for the 2006 event. Area businesses and organizations are encouraged to apply for sponsorships, which are available at various levels of commitment that range from exclusive Official Event Sponsor, the highest level, to Friends of Oktoberfest, a popular choice for smaller organizations. Applications are being reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
"We usually have a high rate of returning sponsors, but we have many opportunities for new sponsors this year and want to encourage new businesses to consider sponsorship," said Pam Bruce-Staskal, Vice Chair of the Oktoberfest Planning Committee. "We expect that 2006 will be a great year, and potential sponsors should act fast to ensure that they secure a sponsorship package that provides the level of recognition that is right for them."
In 2005, Germantown Oktoberfest was generously supported by many sponsors. Euro Motorcars was the Official Event Sponsor, and other sponsors included OBA Bank, FedEx Kinko’s of Germantown, Adventist Health Care, Village Settlements, Sandy Spring Bank, Neelsville Presbyterian Church, BB&T, Hughes Network Systems, The Gazette, and Mercantile Potomac Bank.
