When is Germantown Oktoberfest?

Germantown Oktoberfest is held the first Saturday of every October, rain or shine. This year, the event is Saturday October 7, 2006 starting at 11am. Oktoberfest will conclude after fireworks that will begin at dusk. It is estimated that dusk will occur around 7:45pm.

This link is available in numerous places on the official website. You can click the “Contact Us” link on any page of the website and then click the Sponsorships Information” link. Alternatively, you may click the contact the “Sponsorships Chair” on the Sponsorships webpage. Either of these links will bring up a fill-in form that will be emailed directly to the Sponsorship Chairperson. Please fill in this form and include your name, preferred method of contact (email address, phone number, etc.) and the best time of day to be contacted. The Sponsorship Chairperson will then contact you via your preferred method of communication, usually within 24 hours.

What do I get from sponsoring Oktoberfest?

As outlined in our Sponsorship Application, sponsors receive numerous benefits that include publicity, publicity, and publicity. We showcase our sponsors in our advertising preceding the event as well as throughout the event. Germantown Oktoberfest is the largest and longest-running event in the Upcounty area. With an estimated, minimum 10,000 visitors at the one-day event, your sponsorship provides maximum exposure to people who may be unwilling to travel downcounty through all the traffic.

Who benefits from my sponsorship?

Germantown Oktoberfest is a free, non-profit event organized through volunteer efforts from which proceeds are donated to charity. Each year, proceeds are donated to at least one local charity that has successfully worked to improve the lives of those living in our area. Germantown Oktoberfest also provides a venue for local non-profit groups such as the American Legion, Jaycees, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, high school PTSA and booster clubs, teen groups, church organizations, and the Chamber of Commerce to raise funds to support their own community programs. By sponsoring Oktoberfest, you not only directly benefit the selected local charity for that year, but you allow us to host an event at which other local charities raise funds.

Is sponsorship tax deductible?

Germantown Oktoberfest is a non-profit, 501(c)(2) organization and your sponsorship may be tax deductible. Our tax ID number is made available to all sponsors.

Is there a minimum dollar amount necessary for sponsoring Oktoberfest?

Sponsorships can be monetary or in-kind and there is no minimum amount required.

When is the deadline for sponsoring this year’s event?

Sponsorship applications received before September 1 will allow you maximum exposure our advertising. However, sponsorship applications may be accepted after September 1 with full benefits still available.
